Canvas Commons is a "learning object repository (LOR) where the best ideas, courses and curriculum can be freely shared — all seamlessly integrated into the Canvas LMS environment." (Canvas Press Release). Have you created the best course ever on squirrel training? Perhaps you have a particularly choice module on nut gathering that others could benefit from. On Canvas Commons you can share the whole course or just pieces like a quiz or a module. If you're not ready to share your content with the whole world, you can just share with your fellow Lower Columbia College faculty or use Canvas Commons as your own personal repository. Nobody will be able to see your course unless you allow it to be seen.
On the flip side, Canvas users have also shared content for you to use in your course! Our own amazing Faculty Librarian, Melinda Weatherford, has created and shared a module on plagiarism in Canvas Commons.
